Tailored tapering.

Crafted from French linen, the Taye Pant has a fixed waistband with belt loops and front tucks that drape down the leg into a narrow-fit elastic ankle cuff creating a distinctive shape. With angled front pockets and faux welt pockets at the back, the pant features a front zip fly with a metal hook and eye closure creating a new take on tailored pants.

Material

100% French Linen

This garment has been crafted from 100% French Linen, a natural fibre from flax grown in the northern regions of France. Linen is a light, breathable fabric that is durable and strong. It wrinkles easily which is part of its appeal, it is easy to care for and becomes softer with age and wear.

Flax is a highly productive crop requiring minimal water, herbicides or pesticides to grow, making it a better environmental choice than many other natural fibres, such as conventionally grown cotton.

Linen is a renewable and biodegradable fibre.

Maker

This garment was designed in Melbourne by the ELK team and made by Tongxiang Jimmy Fashions in China. Jimmy has worked with us since 2010 making both woven and knitted apparel. Jimmy is actively working with us to make workplace improvements to ensure the factory is safe and compliant.

The factory is signed up to Sedex, and undertakes regular SMETA social compliance audits.

Size and Fit

These pants have a regular fit at the waist and then fall gently into a relaxed leg. The key points to check for best fit are in the waist and hip. We recommend you take your usual size. Please note, linen does relax slightly with wear however we have fused the waist band so the fit around the waist stays neat.

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.
